In the "Take a Breath" session, put those negative thoughts, spouting self –criticism, sparking anxiety aside. Make time and prepare a space to create! The workshop is two fold; Self-care for teachers - informing your visual journal practice, and usable and adaptable lessons for students 5th - secondary education levels. Participants will have a guided mindful activity bringing attention to ones creative talents, and enhance ones mindful practice. The group will be invited to a quiet journal creating activity, with watercolors, markers pen and pencil. Participants will receive a take-away packet that is STEAM - ELA an Environmentally focused lessons for students and a"How to" collection of Visual-Journal lessons appropriate for grades 5 - 12.
